PERSON AND FAMILY
JG was born in Lörrach in Southwest Germany in September 1957. He studied German and geography at the Pedagogical University in the town of Freiburg, where he is a teacher today. He is married and the father of two children.
POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT
JG is spokesman of the German Peace Society (Deutsche Friedensgesellschaft - Vereinigte KriegsdienstgegnerInnen, DFG-VK), spokesman of the Critical Shareholders of DaimlerChrysler (Kritische AktionärInnen DaimlerChrysler, KADC), spokesman of The German Action Network against Small Arms (Deutsches Aktionsnetzes Kleinwaffen Stoppen, DAKS) and member of the Board of Directors of the Armaments Information Office (RüstungsInformationsBüro, RIB e.V.);
other memberships: amnesty international (ai), attac, teachers union (Gewerkschaft Erziehung und Wissenschaft, GEW) und German traffic club (Verkehrsclub Deutschland, VCD); non-party
PUBLICATION OF BOOKS
JG has been writing Books since 1994. His themes are the Automobile and Weapons Industry and the German army (Bundeswehr). The biography about Jürgen E. Schrempp, the chairman of DaimlerChrysler became an international Bestseller.
His new book will be published in 2006.
